Really tasty steak pie. Meat of the the usual superb Smiddy quality. Seasoning was spot on. Pastry was light and flaky. Only minor improvement is that the cooking time guide on the pie could probably be adjusted to 45 mins, but has no bearing on the excellent quality of the product. Ordering and pick up was a breeze as per our Xmas turkey also from the Smiddy. Will definitely be ordering again. Great shop with great staff. 👍

It was an on-line order and click-and-collect for New Year. Excellent 1.5lbs pie (we bought x2 for the oven) boxed and told to keep level for the gravy. Previously we felt not enough gravy in the pie and not as good as House of Bruar steak pies! Well Monday was a treat as the pies cooked well and there was lots of lovely gravy.
These steak pies were excellent, and not just for January 1st.

Yes a pie, a pie with flavour; meat cooked to near perfection at production stage then finished in the oven, a pastry with good texture and on the palate.

I would highly recommend to lovers of a good steak pie and no I don’t work for the Smiddy
